Matheus Cunha can’t stop scoring for Wolves this season with the forward opening the scoring against Leicester City on Saturday.
Cunha converted from Rayan Ait-Nouri’s cross to score his 15th Premier League goal of the campaign.
The 25-year-old’s performances have been a key factor in Wolves’ survival, with Vitor Pereira’s team one of the most improved teams in the division in recent weeks.
Cunha’s latest goal has also equalled a Premier League record. No Brazilian has ever scored more goals in a single Premier League campaign, with Cunha having levelled the landmark set by former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino (2017/18) and Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli (2022/23).
Cunha’s performances this season have attracted transfer interest and Manchester United are understood to be pursuing a deal.
The Red Devils have held talks with Cunha’s camp over a transfer to Old Trafford and are willing to activate the player’s release clause.
The Brazil international can leave Molineux for a fee of £62.5m, after the clause was included in the new contract he signed earlier this season.
