Paris Saint-Germain's new goalkeeper told PSG TV about the latest step in her career.

Mary, welcome to Paris! How do you feel to be a Paris Saint-Germain player?

'It's an incredible feeling. I'm very proud to join Paris Saint-Germain and to be able to wear this shirt.'

It's a new challenge for you, a new city, a new country. Why did you want to come to Paris Saint-Germain?

'I love the club's vision. When you see the ambitions, the goals that the team sets itself...The club wants to become the best in Europe, maybe even the world. I have the same aspirations, and I want to play for the best teams in the world. I want to win a lot of trophies. That's a real objective of the club, and I'm looking forward to being part of this project.'

You have a lot of experience, and were named the best goalkeeper at the last World Cup. You are highly respected, very talented...what do you think you can contribute to the team, on and off the pitch?

'I want to bring my experience, leadership. I talk a lot and I encourage my teammates a lot. I hope to contribute those qualities, to help the team win as many matches and lift as many trophies as possible. I'm here to win.'

What kind of goalkeeper are you?

'I have a lot of energy, I'm very passionate. I work hard to be the best I can be, always with the aim of helping the team. I want to be that sort of goalkeeper, always ready to take the team higher and get the best results.'

You are going to experience a new league. What do you know about the French league?

'I've watched a lot of French league games in recent months. It's interesting to see how much it has changed, with this new format and the play-off tournament. It's a very competitive league with some very good teams. And I'm looking forward to discovering it.'

You already know a lot of your new teammates having played against them at international level. What do you know about the team you're coming into?

'It's a very strong team. There's a lot of quality with a very bright future! I hope to be able to give it a little plus.'

What are the goals for next season?

'To play good football, work hard for the team and - I hope - win as many trophies as possible. That's the plan!'

There's a pre-season tour to Australia coming up. How important are pre-season tours for teams?

'There's a lot of tours to Australia right now. I was fortunate to go there for the World Cup, and the coffee they make there is incredible! But above all it's a good chance to unite the squad, to work hard to prepare for the season and play some good matches.'

Do you have a message for the fans?

'Hello to all the PSG fans. I'm very happy to be here, and I promise you I'll work hard and give everything on and off the pitch. Ici c'est Paris !'
