Marcus Rashford would prioritise a transfer to Barcelona if the chance to leave Manchester United arises, a report has claimed.
Rashford has failed to make United's last three matchday squads, with new head coach Ruben Amorim admitting he has not been impressed by the 27-year-old's attitude behind the scenes.
The uncertainty surrounding Rashford's future was sparked by his admission that he is ready for a "new challenge", and it was quickly reported that the England international sees a move to La Liga as a "dream".
It is claimed that Rashford believes Barcelona's style of play would suit him better than any other side in Spain, where La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid have previously been named as potential suitors for the versatile forward.
The problem, however, is that Barcelona cannot afford to come anywhere close to the total package required to sign Rashford, who is expected to be available for a fee of around £40m in January.
On top of that expense are Rashford's immense wages of over £300,000 per week. Barcelona have already made it clear he would have to agree to halve his salary at the very least if he wants to make the move to Catalonia.
As it stands, there is not much optimism about a move to Barcelona for Rashford, who may have to agree to a wage cut if he truly wants to seal a departure from United.
