Over the last few weeks, Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to Manchester United standout Jadon Sancho. However, one former player wants the Red Devils to hold onto the 24-year-old.

Recently, Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna reported that Sancho has always been keen on joining PSG, with the Ligue 1 champions offering him a €17 million gross annual salary.

However, The Guardian also reported that a transfer to PSG, whether linked to the Ugarte deal or not, now seems unlikely. Additionally, The Athletic reported a feeling within the club that Chelsea might move for Sancho before the transfer window closes.

Amid the ongoing rumors, former United striker Louis Saha believes that a revitalized Sancho could finally fill the creative midfield role the club has long been searching for. This comes amid rumors linking the Englishman with a move to PSG.

“Manchester United have to sign a new attacking midfielder this summer,” Saha said (h/t The Mirror). “But, Jadon Sancho will feel like a new signing if he stays and can find his form.

“The way he played at Borussia Dortmund shows that he can still do it. He could be the creative player that Erik ten Hag needs. United also need people with character, they are missing that.”

Sancho spent the latter part of the 2023-24 season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, where he played a vital part in their journey to the UEFA Champions League final.

Last season, the 24-year-old played in 24 matches for  Manchester United and Dortmund, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
