According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are now one step away from agreeing a deal to sign Manuel Ugarté (23) from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Following the completion of PSG’s deal to sign João Neves from Benfica, United have a clear run to sign the Uruguyan international. Erik ten Hag has labelled the former Sporting midfielder as an ideal addition to his midfield roster at Old Trafford. The Red Devils have already made an attempt to sign Ugarté but the offer was rejected, L’Équipe reports. A loan move with a large purchase option could be a possible avenue to complete the deal.
Despite Manchester United declaring their intent to sign the PSG midfielder, the Premier League outfit are required to sell midfielders before they can sanction a move for the 23-year-old. L’Équipe reports that Scott McTominay and Casemiro are at the front of potential sales United could make to be able to facilitate a potential move for Ugarté.
