Since retiring due to injury in 2011 he has made a name for himself as a pundit and also a businessman.

The 49 year old joined Sky Sports in 2011 as an analyst and has risen up the ranks to be one of, if not the most recognised face of the sports channels football coverage.

He is now a regular pundit and co-commentator during the Premier League season’s biggest matches of the season.

In a new career step The Athletic report that “Gary Neville has joined NBC Sports as a special contributor for the network’s Premier League coverage for the 2024-25 season.”

He “will contribute to the U.S. network’s studio coverage on a weekly basis each Sunday throughout the season, in addition to his punditry work for Sky Sports in the UK.”

Fans watching Sky Sports coverage of United’s 1-0 win over Fulham were able to see the unusual sight of Neville making comments for NBC before momentarily joining his usual colleagues on Sky.

Nonetheless, his role at the American network will be strictly as a pundit and he will not be commenting on games as he frequently does for Sky.

The former England international has also expanded his business portfolio over the years as he has recently become a the majority stakeholder at Salford City Football Club.

He is also in the hotel business as he opened Hotel Football with fellow members of the Class of 92, which is located just opposite from Old Trafford.

Neville is also part of a special committee which is looking into the regeneration of land around Old Trafford, as new owners Ineos are considering plans to push ahead with the building of a new 100,000 seater stadium.
