FC Barcelona are aware that they need to resolve certain matters as fast as possible this summer. After all, the club has already allowed one key target to slip away during the transfer window. Now, however, Barcelona are not in a position where they can allow that to happen once again.

Unfortunately, the transfer targets for the Catalan giants are limited and time is running out as well day by day. For now, there is an expectation that the arrival of a new winger might end up being delayed until August, but there is a reason for it.

Since Barcelona are looking at certain exit operations to resolve urgently, the club wants to generate the required salary space and revenue to operate more freely in the market. Unfortunately, one of their key transfer targets is having a rough time at his current club, and it is a player that even Hansi Flick has reportedly given the green light for.

As highlighted by SPORT, 27-year-old Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford is currently undergoing some harsh isolation over at the English club as he awaits a summer exit. In fact, there is a proper plan in place to ensure that he does not come into contact with Ruben Amorim at any point.

The player is required to start training at 5pm every day once the rest of the squad leaves the facilities. Moreover, he has even been entering the training ground from the back door reportedly in recent days just to avoid contact with the current Manchester United coach.

In fact, he is even training by himself and has been provided with certain club-appointed technical staff to help him through his sessions. Even on Saturday, when the English side will travel to Stockholm to play in a friendly match against Leeds United, Rashford is expected to stay behind and train on his own.

A rift between the player and Manchester United

Ultimately, this is a harsh stand-off between the Barcelona target and his current club. His camp has even looked into the possibility that the club is violating his rights as a professional contracted footballer, whereas United stands firm with the decision and threatens the player with disciplinary action if he fails to comply.

If the player’s camp ends up succeeding with the possibility that they are looking into, it could force Manchester United to terminate his contract and claim his full salary through 2028. Things are getting brutal between both sides, and Barcelona is still very much in the picture.

The Catalan outfit remains heavily linked to the English winger, but they are reportedly yet to decide on their final target for the summer. Still, Barcelona will need to make their decision soon and it seems likely that this Rashford situation will not be improving any time soon.
