Manchester United consider including Antony in deal for Viktor Gyokeres | OneFootball

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres.

The Red Devils are in the market for a striker this summer. They wanted to sign Liam Delap, who opted to join Chelsea, forcing them to look elsewhere.

According to journalist Sebastian Vidal, the Red Devils are considering including Antony as part of a deal for the 27-year-old.

United could offer £35 million plus Antony to tempt Sporting into selling their prized asset.

Antony had a solid loan spell at Real Betis during the second half of this season, but he has no future at United.

Gyokeres has earned rave reviews in Portugal since joining the club in 2023, bagging 97 goals and 28 assists in 102 appearances.

He now wants to test himself in a bigger league. Gyokeres reportedly prefers a move to Arsenal, who can offer him Champions League football.

However, they are unwilling to meet Sporting’s £85m valuation.

United haven’t qualified for Europe after finishing 15th in the Premier League and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Gyokeres could be tempted to reunite with former Sporting boss Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
