In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Sunderland midfielder Jobe Bellingham. It has been stated that the Red Devils are hoping to get a deal done for the English teenager, who is the brother of Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham is having a great season in the EFL Championship as he has put in a series of impressive displays at the heart of Sunderland‘s midfield. The 19-year-old has scored four goals and picked up three assists in 37 matches for his current employers during this campaign across all fronts.
The talented midfielder has proved his worth at the centre of the park by averaging 1.9 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 2.2 clearances, 1.4 shots, 1.2 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per game in the EFL Championship. He has even distributed possession relatively well after making 85.5% of his attempted passes in the second tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
Bellingham’s current contract at the English club will run out in the summer of 2028 which could make it tough for Man United to land him on the cheap this off-season.

Bellingham can do a little bit of everything at the centre of the park. He is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. The English talent doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and has got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third. He is a good dribbler as well and can strike the ball with venom from long range.
Bellingham is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also fill in as a defensive midfielder or as an attacking midfielder if told to do so.
We can expect Bellingham to add more quality to Man United head coach Ruben Amorim’s midfield in the long run. He is already good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford.
At 19, Bellingham has the potential to be a world-class midfielder someday. Therefore, he would be an excellent option for the Red Devils to consider at the end of this campaign.
