Manchester United a ‘serious contender’ to sign Leny Yoro | OneFootball

Leny Yoro (18) is one of the most sought-after players on the continent this summer. There had long been an assumption that the France youth international would join Real Madrid, however, Manchester United have now entered the race and have been described as a “serious contender” to land the Lille OSC defender’s services by Le Parisien.

Paris Saint-Germain launched an offensive to sign Yoro in January, however, with LOSC still in the UEFA Europa Conference League and in the mix to secure UEFA Champions League qualification for next season, Les Dogues refused to do business with any club, especially not a French rival.

Liverpool retain interest but…

PSG missed their chance as Real Madrid made an approach for Yoro. It had been thought that the defender would head to the Bernabeu this summer, however, according to Foot Mercato, Los Blancos have only offered €20m for the defender. The same source reports that Manchester United have submitted a €60m offer, which meets LOSC’s demands.

Liverpool are also interested in Yoro, however, Manchester United represent the stiffest competition for Real Madrid. Le Parisien understands that they have presented the highly-coveted Frenchman with convincing arguments to move to Old Trafford this summer. It now looks to be a two-horse race to sign Yoro.
