The two kits to be worn by Manchester City’s outfield stars at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup have now been unveiled and confirmed by the club this week.
It comes after the Premier League giants unveiled yet another fresh design to their supporters this week off the back of the official release of their brand new 2025/26 home shirt, featuring the traditional sky blue and white colour scheme.
Now, the newest edition to be launched globally is a special edition strip to be worn solely at this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup, with the club’s iconic two-tone sash set against hand-painted graphics inspired by the supporters’ beloved ‘Poznan’ celebration.
The shirt has been designed in collaboration with New York-based fashion designer KidSuper, as a white base lies beneath a black and red diagonal sash widely adored by Manchester City fans since away kits of the 1970s worn by the likes of club legend Colin Bell.

Colm Dillane, known as KidSuper, said upon the release of the new Manchester City shirt, “Designing a kit for a Club as iconic as Manchester City has been an amazing experience.
“I wanted to really push the design into another space and take a famous City look and give it a new twist using hand painted graphics to create something that works well on pitch but also looks good partnered with lifestyle clothing and streetwear.
“The whole collection is a merging of football, fashion and art.”
Now, with the new-look designs officially launched to supporters across the globe ahead of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Manchester City have also confirmed the kits to be worn by their out-field players and goalkeepers at the competition.
The first choice kit for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City stars is confirmed to be the club’s 2025/26 home kit, with goalkeepers wearing the new pink edition unveiled to supporters back in May.
As for the brand new KidSuper-designed strip, City have informed supporters that the special edition shirt will be the ‘alternative option’ in the United States this summer, alongside an orange base goalkeeper design.
That fresh look is set to debut in Manchester City’s FIFA Club World Cup group stage clash with the United Arab Emirates’ Al Ain scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday 23 June.
That special edition shirt for shot-stoppers features a neon sun colour-way, accompanied by a black and yellow sash and the same all-over ‘Poznan’ graphic.
Unfortunately for those perhaps wanting to see more of City’s new white alternative strip, the club have also confirmed that the special edition kit will only be worn at the FIFA Club World Cup and a new away strip will be launched for the 2025/26 season in due course.
Also addressing supporters as part of a wider release on Manchester City’s official club website was iconic winger Shaun Wright-Phillips, who wore a similar kit as part of the 2009/10 season.
Wright-Phillips said, “It’s great to see this iconic Manchester City kit make a comeback – it feels perfect to combine such a fan favourite with a tribute to the fans’ Poznan celebration.
“I love what KidSuper has done with this shirt and the wider range, and I can’t wait to see the team run out in this kit soon in the States.”
