Reports in Italy claim that Manchester City have agreed to send England international Kyle Walker out on loan to Milan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, and now the two clubs are negotiating an option to make the move permanent at a later date.
The Rossoneri have been targeting a move for Walker for most of the January transfer window, and stepped up their interest after their attempts to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United fell through, as they are only able to register one English player this month.
Walker informed Pep Guardiola and his current employers a few weeks ago that he wishes to leave the club in order to have an experience abroad before the end of his playing career.

Now, according to reports from Sky Sport Italia, City have agreed to send Walker out on loan to Milan for free.
As Walker is still under contract with City until the summer of 2026, Milan still need to find a solution to sign him permanently.
There had been hopes that City would agree to terminate the defender’s contract in order to let him leave for free, but Sky suggest that Milan are currently seeking an agreement for a buy option to be included in the loan deal with the reigning Premier League champions.
Milan already have an agreement in principle on personal terms with the 34-year-old for a contract until the end of the 2026-27 season.
