Maghnes Akliouche has been one of the hottest names in this summer’s transfer market, drawing strong interest from PSG and Manchester City after an impressive season with AS Monaco. At 23, he’s established himself as one of Ligue 1’s standout performers, and a move abroad could be on the horizon.

Manchester United have now entered the race, according to L’Équipe, setting up the possibility of a bidding war with their Premier League rivals.

Monaco are reportedly seeking between €70 million and €80 million for the midfielder, but that steep price tag hasn’t put off any of his suitors, making a summer transfer look more and more likely.

The Mirror also reported that Tottenham have scouted Akliouche, though it’s unclear whether the club plans to make a move or wait before taking action.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany reported that Manchester City have added Akliouche to their transfer shortlist for this summer. The 23-year-old remains Bayer 04 Leverkusen’s top target for a high-class winger.

With Manchester City now entering the race—especially since Akliouche would likely cost less than Rodrygo—the battle for his signature is wide open. He’s definitely a player to watch through Deadline Day.

In May, 90min France reported that Manchester City and PSG have recently stepped up their interest, making a summer departure more likely. Monaco are now believed to be asking for around €70 million.

Pep Guardiola is reportedly a fan of Akliouche’s left-footed playmaking and ability to fill multiple roles, qualities that could make him a natural fit to succeed Bernardo Silva.
