Paris Saint-Germain’s decision to part ways with Randal Kolo Muani means the club will be on the lookout for a new No. 9 to pair with Gonçalo Ramos in attack, whether in January or next summer.

Kolo Muani has played just 453 minutes this season, mostly as a substitute, and is set to join Juventus, although the official announcement is still pending. Regardless, PSG will need to find a striker to compete with Ramos in the near future.

One potential target is Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović. According to a recent report from CaughtOffside, Juventus is expected to discuss Vlahović’s future in February, with the Serbian forward valued at around €65 million. Vlahović has yet to sign a new contract.

Arsenal and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in him, and now PSG is among the clubs monitoring his situation.

Despite interest from Premier League clubs, one English club won’t pursue the Serbian. The Athletic’s Simon Johnson reports that Chelsea have ruled out a transfer for the Juventus frontman.

Moreover, Chelsea aren’t the only London-based club out on Vlahović. Recently, Football Transfers reported that Arsenal’s effort to sign Vlahović this month have fallen through.

The report doesn’t mention precisely why the deal fell through, but it’s possible that the player’s salary was a factor. Vlahović is the highest-paid player in Serie A, earning €12 million a season, so Arsenal may not have been willing to match those demands.
