Burnley are reportedly demanding around £30 million for Manchester United target Sander Berge.

The 26-year-old was a key member of Vincent Kompany’s team last season, featuring in 37 Premier League matches.

The midfielder’s contract at Turf Moor expires in 2027, but the Clarets are open to selling him if they receive a £30m offer, according to the Sun.

Man United were heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Manuel Ugarte but have now abandoned their pursuit of him.

The Red Devils are unwilling to meet PSG’s £51m valuation for Ugarte who had a mixed debut season after joining them from Sporting CP last summer.

United have now switched their focus to alternative targets, with Berge emerging as one of the names on their shortlist.

However, they are only prepared to pay £20m for the 26-year-old who joined Burnley from Sheffield United for £12m.

Berge mainly plays in central midfield but can also be given the defensive role. He is taller than Ugarte and is highly rated for his distribution and blocking ability.

The Norwegian also boasts Premier League experience, having played 66 matches in the English top flight.
