Paris Saint-Germain are increasingly looking to Ligue 1 for talent, having added players like Bradley Barcola and Ousmane Dembele over the past two summers.
Could this trend continue with a third consecutive summer of strengthening from France’s top flight?
Tuttosport recently reported that PSG are among the clubs eyeing Jonathan David. Newcastle United and West Ham are also Premier League clubs interested in signing the Ligue 1 standout, who will be available as a free agent this summer.
With his contract nearing its end, David will be free to join any club starting June 30. While he’s also drawing interest from Serie A, Juventus are particularly eager to secure his signature.

CaughtOffside reported Friday, citing sources, that David is at the center of a heated transfer battle, with top European clubs competing for his signature this summer. However, it’s the Premier League that he prefers.
Clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Newcastle United—who are expecting interest in Alexander Isak—are all said to be keen on acquiring David.
David is taking his time with the decision and plans to make his final choice at the end of the season, with a move to a top Premier League club being his top preference, per CaughtOffside.
The Canadian has netted 21 goals and registered 10 assists in 38 appearances this season. PSG are likely to offload Randal Kolo Muani permanently in a few months, so they’ll be in need of a striker.
