Phil Foden and Khadija Shaw have been named as the Football Writersâ Association Footballers of the Year.
The Manchester City duo picked up their gongs on Friday with both playing a huge role in the Citizens potential charge to the menâs and womenâs titles this season.
Foden landed the award with 42 per cent of the menâs vote ahead of Declan Rice and Rodri.
âBeing named the Football Writersâ Association Footballer of the Year is a huge honour,â Foden said in a statement.
âIâm very, very happy to receive this award but I could not have done it without the help of my team-mates. We have a very special squad of players at City, and Iâm privileged to be a part of that group.
âI want to thank all my team-mates as well as Pep and the coaches for all the support and advice they have given me.â
Shaw meanwhile took a record 80 per cent of the womenâs vote ahead of Chelsea star Lauren James.
