Matheus Nunes' last-minute goal helped Man City secure a 2-1 Premier League victory over Aston Villa as the Citizens moved up to third in the table.

Marcus Rashford almost gave Villa the lead after 16 seconds, racing onto Youri Tielemans' pass and thumping his shot against the post.
City took the lead with their first attack, as Omar Marmoush's cross found Bernardo Silva, who swept in his first goal of 2025 into the net.
However, City's lead only lasted for a matter of minutes as Rúben Dias tripped Jacob Ramsey inside the penalty area and Rashford stepped up to convert the spot-kick.
City made a positive start to the second period and James McAtee tried to lob Martínez from the edge of the area and sent the attempt just over the bar.
Pep Guardiola's side kept the pressure on Matheus Nunes struck in the final minute, racing to meet Jérémy Doku's low cross into the six-yard area.
City now have a four-point cushion inside the Premier League's top five, while Villa missed the chance to close the gap as they remain in seventh place.
