West Ham are making an offer to Southampton to sign Mateus Fernandes.

In what would be a significant move for the club this summer, with the Saint midfielder regarded as a big talent at just 21 years of age, the club are now set to make a bid.

It has been reported that the player could be available for around £30m, however whether West Ham offer than amount remains to be seen, but with the season approaching the club will be eager to get a deal completed as quickly as posible.

There is also a growing sense of optimism in east London that a deal can be struck and the player will sign for the club this summer.
