Manchester City’s newest transfer investment Savinho has issued supporters with an update on his fitness during the ongoing international break.

The Brazil international has began life in Sky Blue in excellent form, showcasing his abilities to beat opposing defenders one-vs-one on either side of Manchester City’s front-three with relative ease.

Having made his debut for the club in the FA Community Shield win over Manchester United, Savinho’s full bow for the club came on the opening weekend of the Premier League season, starring on the right against Chelsea before putting in a strong performance one week later.

The 20-year-old’s home showing against Ipswich Town would be his final outing before the international break however, having been ruled out for the 1-3 win over West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Pep Guardiola would go on to reveal that Savinho had sustained a knee injury that ruled him out of the clash in the capital, but that a return to Manchester City action could be expected after the international break.

Now, with international commitments well underway, Savinho himself has offered supporters an update on his own fitness on social media.

In a new upload to his official Instagram profile this week, Savinho has revealed that he is currently undergoing general fitness work in his home gym, remaining in Manchester at his city centre apartment during the international break.

Manchester City’s players are expected to begin returning to the City Football Academy for training with Pep Guardiola and his staff from Wednesday afternoon, with the club taking on competitive action in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

It is currently three wins out of three for the Premier League champions, with wins against Chelsea, Ipswich Town, and West Ham United, with Brentford their next opponents in a month that will also welcome the return of UEFA Champions League and Carabao Cup action.
