Mike Maignan was the poster boy for the Rossoneri international players on Monday evening. The goalkeeper's display allowed for France to resist and go on to beat Belgium 2-1 in Leuven. During the match, Maignan guessed the right corner to save Tielemans' penalty - as it went over the bar - and he generally showed himself to be very important with some decisive saves on a number of occasions; one in particular, allowed for the side with ten men to get the win. Youssouf Fofana also featured, coming off the bench in the 79th minute, but Theo Hernández remained on the bench. Les Bleus stay in second spot in Group 2 of the Nations League.

In the same group, Matteo Gabbia unfortunately didn't feature in Italy's 4-1 win over Israel in Udine, as he still waits for his debut. The Azzurri are top of the group after four matches with ten points. The Netherlands, however, were unlucky to not beat Germany in Munich as they lost 0-1. Tijjani Reijnders played the first half. The Dutch sit second in Group 3, but are level on points with Hungary, on five points.
