It was a unique occasion: beating Torres means advancing in the Coppa Italia Serie C, returning to winning ways after a month (Perugia), and giving themselves a clean break from a difficult period. And Milan Futuro did just that: at the Stadio Vanni Sanna in Sassari, they went one step further than September's goalless draw in the league and won 1-0 in the round of 16 thanks to a goal, or rather the magic of Diego Sia. This success means qualification, advancing in the second competition of the season, which so far had already given good results with the 3-0 win over Lecco and the 2-1 win over Novara.
A good performance, always remaining focused and creating chances in the second half with Sia's first goal as a pro. Mister Bonera's team thus progresses to the Cup quarter-finals, playing at home in December against Caldiero Terme, who eliminated Padova. Now the league will return. A complicated journey, but a great desire to do better in the wake of a beautiful evening like today. A new opportunity will come on Sunday 1 December at 15:00 CET with the away game against Ternana, who are three points away from the top and coached by the former player Abate.

MATCH REPORT
Keeping possession without rushing, a smart start for the Rossoneri and then a couple of close-range raids: in the 13th minute Bartesaghi's cross for Stalmach ended up with an imperious but wide shot; in the 14th minute Masala’s shot found Nava's gloves. Then, Torres again: in the 18th minute Zambataro's volley missed the target, and in the 26th minute Guiebre ’s went wide. In between, AC Milan kept pressing. The game proceeded quietly with few chances in between. The Rossoblù returned to the attack: in the 31st minute Zambataro put in a weak shot, and in the 42nd minute Guiebre made a powerful attempt but with no accuracy. Half-time.
Straight into action for Nava in the restart: in the 46th minute he blocks Mercadante's deflection in the area from a corner and in the 47th minute he clears Guiebre. A huge chance in the 49th minute when Coubis had space but did not link up with Longo well. Now the game was accelerating, and in the 52nd minute Zambataro again found Nava. It was the prelude to the feat from Sia, who in the 54th minute unblocked the match by advancing and unleashing a marvellous right-footer straight to the net. Inevitable reaction from the Sardinians, attacking in waves including Coccolo's attempt in the 66th minute. In the 80th minute Diakité's elbowing on Coubis resulted in a red card and the opponents were reduced to ten for a tough final: in the 85th minute Varela tried a header, and in the 87th minute Nava made a fine save on Guiebre. End of the match.
