At the moment, Leicester City aren't missing Mads Hermansen as much as expected. That's thanks to further Jakub Stolarczyk goalkeeping heroics versus Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend. City were winners in north London thanks to a team effort. Though Stolarczyk stood out once more.
The 24-year-old even employed some beneficial delaying tactics against Spurs at his own risk. While these antics are annoying for some watching on, they were probably necessary for LCFC to be victorious on the day. The young Pole is making a name for himself in the Premier League - which is not an easy thing to do. However, the Dane is a great up-and-coming elite stopper too; he remains the Foxes No.1 as far as we know.
I'm not sure if you're aware but the two 'keepers are exactly the same age. They are both terrifically rated as well. Therefore they might perhaps compete for the first-choice role once Hermansen is fit. Speaking of that, what is the injured man's current return date, if any exists? When may he be back for Leicester City? And will Hermansen be in action for an important and testing fixture? Let's see.
What a win it was for the east Midlands team on their trip to the capital. Two fan favourites were on the scoresheet on Sunday: Bilal El Khannouss and Jamie Vardy. Yet the entire side were pretty on point versus Ange Postecoglou's floundering Lilywhites.
Stolarczyk was in fine form again. In fact the Kielce, Poland-born goalie impressed throughout. He was given a match rating of 8 by Leicester Mercury.
But the current man between the sticks will have competition at some point. Hermansen's latest reported comeback is not for another month. March 1 to be exact. This means the latter may be ready for Chelsea on the 9th.
