Despite being strongly linked to Barcelona throughout the summer, Luis Díaz has finalised his transfer to Bundesliga champions Bayern München.
The Colombian was officially announced by Bayern on Wednesday morning having signed a four year contract running until June 2029.
"Being part of this club means a lot to me; it's one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to help my new teammates with my style of play and personality" he said, in statements released by the Bavarians.
The tenacious forward spent his formative years at Barranquilla FC, and also played for Junior Barranquilla before moving to Europe and FC Porto in the 2019/20 season.
After two and a half seasons as a Dragon, Diaz was on the radar of a host of elite European clubs and Liverpool swooped to secure his services for €53 million in January 2022.
Díaz played 148 matches in total for the Reds, scoring 41 goals and providing 16 assists.
