Lamine Yamal will start for Spain in their Euro 2024 last 16 clash with Georgia on June 30.

The 16-year-old has impressed on his major tournament debut with two starts in three group stage games in Germany.

La Roja stormed out of Group B with maximum points as the only team to do so in the competition.

Under German law,  under-18s in Germany, whether foreign or German nationals, are not allowed to work past 20:00, in order to protect them in the workplace.

Some exceptions are permitted for athletes, to compete until 23:00, but that includes showering and media duties.

In theory, Spain could be fined €30,000 if he plays beyond that deadline, which could be the case if the Georgia game goes to extra time.

However, the legislation is unlikely to be enforced, and de la Fuente has no issue in taking the risk to keep his star man in the team.
