Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen on Saturday took a significant step forward in his recovery injury.

This comes amid confirmation that the 32-year-old has been given the green light to take his place back on the grass for training.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has for his part of course been sidelined since all the way back in September of last year.

This comes after the German suffered a ruptured patella tendon in his right knee, during Barcelona’s 5-1 La Liga victory over Villarreal.

Ter Stegen has spent the months since in steady recovery, with a view to being fit and available for selection for the start of next season.

And, this weekend, such efforts took a sizable step forward.

As confirmed by the player himself by way of a post across his social media platforms, Ter Stegen has returned to the grass at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, for individual training.
