Three Brentford players featured for their respective loan sides in the opening weekend of the EFL (English Football League) calendar.

Ethan Brierley played the duration of Exeter City's 1-0 away defeat against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday afternoon.

The Grecians looked set to leave south Yorkshire with a point but a late Luke Molyneux penalty snatched the victory for the hosts.

Elsewhere in League One, Ryan Trevitt made his Wigan Athletic debut as a second-half substitute as his loan side began their 2025/26 campaign with a 3-1 victory against Northampton Town.

The midfielder, who officially joined the Latics two days earlier, replaced Tobias Brennan with just over an hour played.

In League Two, Ben Krauhaus made his third Bromley debut as they drew 0-0 away from home against Shrewsbury Town.

Returning to the club he joined the Bees from in 2024, the 20-year-old was brought off the bench on 65 minutes, helping to secure a clean sheet and a point on the road for Andy Woodman's side.

Ji-soo Kim made his debut for Kaiserslautern in 2. Bundesliga as they lost 1-0 at Hannover.

The South Korean came off for the bench with 10 minutes to go and could make both his full and home bows for the club when they host Schalke on Saturday evening.

Benjamin Fredrick has made his first two appearances for Belgian Pro League FCV Dender.

He was utilised as a substitute in their season-opening goalless stalemate at home to Cercle Bruges before starting Saturday's 1-1 draw at Standard Liège.

Finally, Tony Yogane was a second-half substitute for Dundee who lost 2-1 at home to Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.

The 19-year-old also made four appearances in the Scottish League Cup for Steven Pressley's side in July.
