Real Betis have emerged as a potential destination for Liverpool’s out-of-favour forward Federico Chiesa (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
Chiesa looks set to leave Anfield after a difficult debut season, plagued by injury woes and a lack of regular playing time.
The Italian winger made just one start in six Premier League appearances, and he is keen to revive his career at a new club.
Betis are currently working around the clock to sign Antony, and they have scheduled a meeting with Manchester United to submit their proposal.
The Brazilian winger enjoyed a stellar loan spell at Betis last season, helping them reach the Europa Conference League final before losing to Chelsea.
Verdiblancos have now identified Chiesa as a potential alternative if they fail to secure Antony’s transfer.
The former Juventus star has also been linked with a return to Serie A, with AC Milan credited as one of the suitors.
Betis are exploring the transfer market for reinforcements as they are set to play in the Europa League next season.
With teenage prodigy Jesus Rodriguez also linked with an exit, Chiesa would be a great addition to Manuel Pellegrini’s attacking options..
The former Fiorentina star has lost his place in the Italian national team and is eager to regain his spot in the squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Liverpool are closing in on signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen for a Premier League record transfer fee.
If they complete the deal, Chiesa will fall further down the pecking order.
The Reds are also working to add Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez to their ranks.
