This past summer, Paris Saint-Germain expressed strong interest in Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but no transfer took place. Now, both the player and Napoli are struggling to agree on a contract extension, with other European clubs monitoring the situation.
Journalist Graeme Bailey recently told Rousing the Kop that Kvaratskhelia is on Liverpool’s radar as they start planning for life after Mohamed Salah.
“When you’ve got the likes of possibly Kvaratskhelia on the market, let’s not forget that Liverpool have just brought in the second best Georgian player,” Bailey said. “Liverpool are all over Kvaratskhelia, they know about the situation, there might be a chance of getting him next summer.”
Napoli have reportedly made several offers, the most recent one offering a salary of €5 million, excluding bonuses. However, Kvaratskhelia and his agent are seeking at least €8 million, which is still less than the amount PSG reportedly offered this summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Napoli are becoming increasingly concerned about the future of their Georgian star, particularly as PSG look poised to make another move.
While PSG and Liverpool are clubs keen on the player, La Gazzetta dello Sport also reports (h/t SPORT) that PSG and Barcelona are closing in and applying pressure to secure a deal for this summer, with everything likely to be decided in the coming weeks. His low salary at Napoli and his desire to win titles are critical factors in his decision to leave the Serie A side.
Kvaratskhelia has long been on Barcelona’s radar. Former manager Xavi Hernández considered him a top priority, and the club’s current sporting management sees him as a truly exceptional and strategic player for the future.
