Liverpool are plotting big changes to their strike line this summer. The landmark signing in attack is going to be Florian Wirtz - who is likely to complete his record £116m move from Bayer Leverkusen in the upcoming days.
But plans are also in place to add a new striker. It remains to be seen who the chosen candidate will be - with the Reds linked heavily to Alexander Isak, Victor Osimhen, Hugo Ekitike and more.

Sporting director Richard Hughes and head coach Arne Slot won’t stand still despite winning the 2024/25 Premier League title.
Maintaining a successful team is an ongoing process - and that is why several Liverpool first-team stars have been earmarked for the exit. The club would favour bringing in upgrades for Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez, Federico Chiesa and even Ben Doak.
And in the case of Mohamed Salah, the countdown is on with the Egyptian out of contract in just two years. By the time Salah’s new deal ends, he will be on the brink of his 35th birthday.
There needs to be some kind of succession plan put in place over the next season or two in order for Liverpool to move forward. And one intriguing name who fits the bill stylistically is Tyler Dibling of Southampton.
The 19-year-old was a bright spot in an otherwise awful campaign for the Saints last season. The rookie scored twice and added one assist in 33 games for his club - but was unable to help stave off relegation to the Championship.
Top English and European clubs have been flocking to watch the left-footed attacker strut his stuff over the last few months - with Liverpool reported to have taken in a recent England under-21 game involving Dibling.
The Reds were said in January to be the player’s No1 destination if and when he would leave Southampton and Tottenham were left frustrated that their efforts to land him went nowhere in winter.
Under contract ONLY until 2027, Dibling is being touted as a potential €60m signing. That may seem a huge upfront cost but given his age and his capacity for development it may ultimately prove a bargain.
And now a new report in Caught Office has revealed that Liverpool are very much in the hunt for Dibling - who is expected to depart St. Mary’s during this transfer window.
“Dibling’s likely availability has several top clubs on alert, including Liverpool, who have joined others like Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle United in the race,” the report reads.
“Others such as Tottenham and Manchester City are also considering a move for Dibling, while RB Leipzig previously had a €35m bid rejected for the England Under-21 international.”
Liverpool will have to fight it out among a host of top sides to land Dibling - but as proven with Wirtz the club now have outstanding pulling power for top players.
