Liverpool’s youth prospects have really been making a name for themselves this year both in and out of the club.

One youngster Liverpool have been without, however, has been Jayden Danns. A stress fracture in his back has kept him out all season, last being seen turning out for the Under-21s against Arsenal back in April.

On an extremely positive note, though, Danns has now been spotted back in training.

Jurgen Klopp reportedly wanted to swap Mo Salah for Antony when he was Liverpool boss. It sounds mad - but he was absolutely right.

The Times reported on Tuesday that Jurgen Klopp wanted to replace Mo Salah with Antony. Que the outrage.

And on the face of it, that's absolutely mental. Salah is one of the world's best players and Antony really, really isn't. He's been a disaster since moving to Manchester United, scoring five Premier League goals in 56 games.

But he was right to do so.

Luis Diaz has been among the best-performing Liverpool players so far this season, scoring nine goals in 16 games overall, including a Champions League hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen.

Diaz has been called out for indifferent displays for the South American side during their 2026 World Cup qualification campaign. Despite wins against Argentina and Chile since the season got underway, Colombia have also been harshly criticised after defeats to Bolivia - and most recently - Uruguay.

The game against Darwin Nunez’s nation ended in a controversial 3-2 defeat on Friday night, with Diaz exchanging words at the final whistle with his Liverpool colleague.

Liverpool know they have a special talent in teenage winger Ben Doak.

This season, Doak has been in dazzling form on loan at Middlesbrough, and is one of the most dynamic players in the Championship - featuring in the top 10 per cent of players when it comes to expected assists, an excellent barometer of a player's creativity.

The 19-year-old has also weighed in with three assists and a goal as well in his 10 matches played and is now making a huge impact on the international stage too.
