Liverpool complete the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Kerr | OneFootball

Liverpool have completed the signing of Scottish international midfielder Sam Kerr.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Reds this afternoon.

The 26-year-old joins Liverpool from German Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga club Bayern Munich.

Kerr is well-known by Liverpool fans. She spent the second half of last season on loan with The Reds. Kerr made 14 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions in which she scored one goal.

The midfielder spent two seasons with former club Bayern Munich and she won the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga title with them in her first campaign in Germany.

On the international stage, Kerr has been capped by Scotland on 34 occasions while she has scored one goal for her country.

After joining Liverpool, Kerr said “I’m so excited to get started and I’ve enjoyed my spell here so I just wanted to make it a little bit longer now. I’m really happy that we could get it over the line and that I’m here for the long term. I think I knew after a couple of months that I was here that I was really loving it and if I had the opportunity to stay it’s something that I’d love to do.

“When Liverpool came in, there wasn’t even a second thought. It was, ‘I want to do this and I want to stay at Liverpool’.”

Kerr is Liverpool’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
