In a recent report, ESPN mentioned that Liverpool are big admirers of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. It is believed that the Reds are showing interest in recruiting the French talent but PSG are unwilling to sell him this summer.
Barcola enjoyed a decent run of form at the French club after he put in a run of impressive performances for them in the final third. He managed to help the Ligue 1 outfit secure the UEFA Champions League trophy earlier this summer. The 22-year-old registered 21 goals and picked up 21 assists in 64 appearances for PSG last season in all competitions.
The French talent deserves a ton of credit for averaging 3.05 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1. He kept 51.4% of his attempts on target. Barcola has even distributed the ball well in the opponent’s half after completing 81.7% of his attempted passes in the French first division (stats via fbref.com).
Barcola is under contract at Parc des Princes until the summer of 2028 which could make it difficult for Liverpool to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Barcola has got the pace and dribbling ability to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to create some promising chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.
The France international can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Reds manage to bring him on board this summer.
We can expect Barcola to add more quality and depth to Liverpool boss Arne Slot’s frontline. He has what it takes to secure a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club next season.
At 22, Barcola has still got a lot of room to grow as a footballer. Therefore, it is only logical for Slot to launch a move for a player of his skill set and potential in this transfer period.
