Lewis joins Derby on dual registration | OneFootball

Sacha Lewis has joined Derby County on a dual registration until the end of the 2024/25 season.

The agreement sees young defender continue her development at City whilst also gaining vital senior experience at the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division side.

After recovering from an early season injury, Lewis has been a regular in first team training sessions at City as well as England Under-17s.

The 16-year-old was part of the Blues' travelling squad to Australia in pre-season as well as on our warm weather training camp in Abu Dhabi in the new year.

During our tour of Perth last summer, she also helped City beat Leicester on penalties when coming on as a second half substitute for Kerstin Casparij.

A pacey right-back by trade and sister of Men's player Rico, Lewis enjoyed a similar dual registration at FC United of Manchester last season. She will now move to Derby to continue that rapid rise, with the Ewes currently sat seventh in the third tier.
