According to sources close to the club, Erik ten Hag, the new head coach of Bayer Leverkusen, wants to keep the striker and integrate him into his tactical plans. The Dutch manager is considering lining up Patrik Schick as the lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Boniface in a freer role, supporting as a number 10 or operating in the left half-space.
