Manchester United have submitted a €63m bid to Lille for the signing of their highly-rated French centre-back Leny Yoro (18), according to a report this Monday from L’Equipe. However, the Lille youth product would favor a move to Real Madrid or Ligue 1 champions PSG. The outlet understands that Manchester United are the most insistent party in the race to sign Leny Yoro but, so far, the player is not responsive to Manchester United’s courtship. In that regard, Leny Yoro is reportedly not keen to a move to a Premier League side altogether, which would explain why Liverpool’s interest in him has gone quiet.

Yoro is entering his final contract year with Lille OSC, which would have been satisfied with Manchester United’s €63m bid. The latter does not take into account performance-related add-ons. L’Equipe understands that Yoro’s sights are set to a move to Champions League serial winners Real Madrid, but the Real Madrid executives do not see Leny Yoro as a priority target, which would explain their reluctance to match Manchester United’s bid. The outlet understands that Real Madrid are offering Lille south of €20m for their prized asset.

PSG are also monitoring the situation and L’Equipe reports that the Ligue 1 champions are ready to pounce in case Yoro would be pushing for a move to the French capital. PSG president Nasser Al Khelaïfi reportedly believes that Yoro’s agent – Jorge Mendes – would move heaven and earth to seal his client’s move to Real Madrid, for the Portuguese super-agent to claim back a parcel of his influence in the Spanish capital, even if it meant staying at Lille for next season and sign for Real Madrid as a free agent. But Lille have no interest in keeping Yoro for another year nor losing him on a free transfer in 2025.
