Hamza Igamane (22) has enjoyed a breakout season in Scotland with Rangers—and his rise has not gone unnoticed in Ligue 1. Several top-tier French clubs are closely monitoring the Moroccan striker ahead of what could be a competitive summer pursuit. But they will have to face competition from three Premier League sides: Everton, West Ham, and Brentford – according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Signed for under €2.5m from AS FAR Rabat last July, the Témara-born forward emerged as a revelation at Ibrox, finishing the season with 16 goals and 3 assists in 46 appearances.

According to Foot Mercato, RC Lens were the first French club to make enquiries, under former sporting director Diego Lopez, who was particularly keen on Igamane’s profile. While Lopez has since departed and Pierre Sage is set to take over, the interest at the Stade Bollaert has not entirely cooled.

Lille are firmly in the race, actively seeking a successor to Jonathan David, who has now moved on. Igamane’s profile matches the Dogues’ recruitment model—young, technically polished, and with significant resale potential. Strasbourg are also monitoring the player.

Across the Channel, Brentford, West Ham and Everton have all expressed interest for the Moroccan. West Ham are tracking both Igamane and Saint-Étienne’s Lucas Stassin as they look to reshape their frontline. Everton, meanwhile, are preparing for life without Dominic Calvert-Lewin (out of contract in 2025) and are reportedly unconvinced by Beto or Armando Broja.Brentford face a potential departure for Bryan Mbeumo—targeted by Manchester United and Arsenal—and are seeking to ease the goalscoring burden on Yoane Wissa.Rangers will reportedly look for a fee around €15m for the 22-year old, with no pressure to sell on their side.
