La Liga outfit Leganés have touched base with their counterparts at Scottish heavyweights Rangers, over a potential January transfer.
That’s according to market insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Cyriel Dessers as the player in the sights of Leganés.
Frontman Dessers, for his part, has been in and out of the starting XI in Glasgow across the season to date.
The Nigerian international, though, has nevertheless managed to rack up an altogether respectable 12 goals and four assists across all competitions.
And such exploits, it would appear, have proven enough to pique attentions in Spain.
As per the aforementioned Matteo Moretto, the board at goal-shy Leganés are expressing a keen interest in bringing in Dessers for the 2nd half of the campaign.
So much so that first contacts have already been initiated with the Ibrox hierarchy.
It now remains to be seen whether or not Rangers are open to a mid-season deal for the player.
