Leeds United are looking to cash in on Mateo Joseph to fund a move for Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz, according to the Sun.
The club wants attacking reinforcements following their return to the Premier League, and the Brazilian fits the bill.
However, Fulham want £50 million, and the Elland Road club are looking at ways to raise money.
Joseph made 41 appearances across all competitions for the Whites last season, but they are ready to sell him for around £10m in a bid to boost their transfer kitty.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke has told Patrick Bamford that he is not in his plans for next season, and a move for Muniz makes sense.
The 24-year-old ended 2024-25 with eight goals in eight league starts. He bagged nine goals in 26 league games in 2023-24 and will fancy his chances of scoring more if given more opportunities.
Muniz is open to the move, and his style of play could be perfect for Leeds.
Almost three-quarters of his attempts at goal (72%) have come from first-time shots since the start of the 2023-24 season.
Only Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood has a higher rate (75%) in that period, while only Erling Braut Haaland has had fewer touches per shot in the Premier League during the same timeframe.
Everton’s Beto is the only player to have contested more aerial duels than his 11.1 average per 90 minutes among attackers with 2,000-plus minutes since the start of the 2023-24 season.
Of players with over 2,000 minutes since the start of 2023-24, only Diogo Jota, Alexander Isak and Haaland have scored goals more regularly from their time on the pitch.
