A permanent deal for the winger still isn't out the question after his Goodison Park loan spell

The transfer insider has revealed that a repeat deal to take the forward to Goodison Park for the season is confirmed, but the two sides haven't shut the door on the former Manchester City man moving to Merseyside for good in the future.

There is said to be no buy-option in the current deal as it stands, but progress could be made if the 27-year-old continues to perform as he did for the Toffees in the previous campaign.

The wide man scored three league goals and assisted three more in the top flight last year, and will be looking to make the most of a fifth straight season playing top flight football.

Fabrizio Romano offers Jack Harrison, Everton tease after Leeds United loan deal

Harrison had been a constant performer for Leeds after joining them from City in the summer of 2021, having spent the three previous seasons on loan at Elland Road.

The ex-Middlesbrough loanee helped the Whites achieve promotion to the Premier League in the 2019/20 campaign, before securing an £11 million deal to joint the Yorkshire side the following summer.

The winger has featured 190 times in league competition for United during his various spells with the club, scoring 31 times and laying on 26 goals for teammates during his time with the club.

Harrison chose to remain in the Premier League following Leeds’ relegation into the Championship at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, as the blue half of Merseyside came calling, and went on to establish himself as a regular in Sean Dyche’s plans during his stint at Goodison Park, with 25 Premier League games under his belt in the past 12 months.

And with a repeat of the loan switch set to be completed, Romano gave the following update on X earlier today:

“Jack Harrison, new Everton player as all docs are now signed — here we go confirmed.

“New exclusive detail: it’s loan move from Leeds United, no buy option… but with a view to make it permanent in due course, it’s concrete possibility.

“Deal sealed. #EFC

Jack Harrison Leeds United contract information amid Everton permanent transfer link

Harrison still has three years left on his current deal with Leeds United, with the 27-year-old’s contract seeing him tied down to Elland Road until the summer of 2028.

The former New York City man only signed that new deal in the April of last year, but just 14 months on, he could have easily played his last game for the Yorkshire outfit.

Reports earlier this year from Football Insider claim that the forward was eager to get away from the club regardless of which division they found themselves in during the 24/25 season, and was keen for a permanent deal to be agreed.

The failure of Daniel Farke’s side to get out of the Championship would only have exacerbated those desires this summer, with a 1-0 playoff final defeat to Southampton hampering any hope United had of keeping hold of their attacking threat this summer.
