Serie A side Lecce could lose Patrick Dorgu this month and Manchester United seem to be accelerating for the starlet.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have now reported that United offered €30 million to Lecce in the last few days but the bid was rejected. The feeling is that if the Italian side are offered €35 million plus bonuses by United, the player will be allowed to depart the club.

Contacts between the two clubs have intensified now and Lecce aim to close the deal as soon as possible. They want to have a replacement in hand for the Dane quickly, even if the club’s president had denied the possibility of a sale in January a month ago.

The talent has also been linked with Juventus and Napoli, with Tottenham and Chelsea also interested in the past. Now, United are leading the race and progressing in their move for the 20-year-old.
