Lecce head coach is aware of the quality that Inter have, but he still wants his team to go into tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash at the San Siro with some optimism.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of tomorrow evening’s match, as reported by FCInterNews, the Lecce coach gave his thoughts and stressed that he believes that there could be a result there for the taking for the Puglian side.

Lecce travel to the San Siro as one of the surprise packages of the Serie A season to date.

The newly-promoted team have not looked remotely out of place in the top flight, where they have earned a spot for themselves in the midtable zone alongside more established team.

The Giallorossi still head into tomorrow’s match as underdogs, and their coach Baroni makes no effort to downplay this, but at the same time he remains hopeful that something is there for him.

“Teams like them don’t usually slip up two matches in a row,” the coach said, in reference to the fact that Inter lost last week against Bologna.

“We know they’re a strong team, but we still want to get something out of tomorrow and we believe that we can.”
