Lazio Won’t Consider Offers Below €30M for Wolves Target | OneFootball

Lazio are reportedly keen to maintain the services of their goalkeeper Christos Mandas who has suitors in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old rose through the ranks of OFI Crete before signing for the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2023. In his first season in the Italian capital, the young custodian managed to impress while replacing the injured Ivan Provedel. In the past few months, he usurped the experienced Italian in the pecking order.

Nevertheless, with Maurizio Sarri returning to the club as a replacement for Marco Baroni, many believe Provedel could be restored as No.1, which would be a major blow for Mandas, especially amidst the absence of European football.

Lazio Keen to Keep Mandas

However, Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) insists that the club’s sporting director, Angelo Fabiani, is determined to keep Mandas, so he would only consider genuinely enticing offers, starting from €30 million.

Wolves Vowed to Return to Christos Mandas This Summer

The same source also recalls how Lazio turned down an offer worth €12 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer. The goalkeeper also confirmed the Premier League club’s approach in a recent interview with Athletiko.

Mandas made 20 appearances this season, registering six clean sheets and conceding 18 goals in the process. The Greek recently signed a contract extension with Lazio, pushing back the deadline to June 2029.
