Lazio have improved their offer to Chelsea for Cesare Casadei, offering €12m plus a 25 per cent cut of the sell-on fee, and are confident that will be accepted.
It has been a bidding war with fellow Serie A side Torino for several weeks in this January transfer window, but the Biancocelesti were largely always considered the favourites.

According to multiple sources this evening including Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà and pundit Fabrizio Romano, the latest proposal has been formalised and should be sufficient.
It is specifically worth €12m plus a 25 per cent cut of the sell-on fee, which is an improved figure from the 10-15 per cent that had originally been offered.
This is still less than the one Torino had put forward, which was worth €11m plus a 40 per cent cut, but Casadei is believed to have his heart set on joining Marco Baroni’s team.
They are challenging for a top four finish in Serie A and have tonight guaranteed their place in the Europa League Round of 16, sitting three points clear at the top of the table.
