Lazio supporters are banned from attending their side’s Europa League game against Ajax at the Johan Cruijff Arena, and the Italian club have issued an official statement advising their own fans ‘not to travel’ to the Dutch capital.
The municipality took the decision to forbid away supporters from being in the stands after both UEFA and local authorities had labelled the match ‘high risk’, following troubles ahead of the match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv earlier in November.

Amsterdam’s municipality claimed Lazio fans are ‘not welcome’ due to the high risk of ‘extreme-right, antisemitic, racist expressions and disturbances’.
As a result, the Biancocelesti reminded their supporters of the ongoing restrictions in an official note published on Wednesday, urging those already on the scene to ‘maintain a cooperative attitude’.
“It is reminded to Lazio supporters that, for the UEFA Europa League match between Ajax and Lazio, access to the away sector is prohibited, as per the local authorities’ provisions,” the club’s statement reads.
“Fans in the Dutch capital are informed that the Italian Embassy has set up a consular cell at the Italian Institute of Culture – Keizersgracht 564, 1017 EM Amsterdam – about 10 km from the stadium, which can be contacted in case of need.

“While the club continues its diplomatic efforts with the Dutch authorities to recover expenses incurred by supporters, it is advised not to travel to Amsterdam. For those already in the city, it is recommended to maintain a cooperative attitude, respect local authority regulations, and avoid responding to potential provocations from local pseudo-supporters.”
The Biancocelesti have picked up 13 points by winning four games in the Europa League group phase and drawing one, as they look among the favourites to directly book a spot for the round of 16.
