Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal has on Sunday continued to etch his name ever further into the history books of the club.

As much comes owing to his appearance in Barca’s latest outing.

Xavi’s troops are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Rayo Vallecano – the club’s last at home this season.

The aforementioned Lamine, as expected, was afforded a starting berth for the matchup, taking his place on the right of boss Xavi’s front three.

And, in the process, the Spanish international secured for himself a special piece of history.

As revealed across Barcelona’s social media platforms, Lamine, at just 16 years of age, has overtaken Bojan Krkić as the youngest player in Blaugrana history to rack up 50 official appearances for the club:

The prodigious wide-man did not waste time in making his impact against Rayo firmly felt, either, laying on Barcelona’s opener for Robert Lewandowski inside the opening three minutes of proceedings at Montjuïc.
