La Liga star’s €65m Arsenal switch is now ‘signed’ | OneFootball

Real Sociedad star Martín Zubimendi’s transfer to Premier League giants Arsenal has been signed and sealed.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has on Friday provided an insight into the situation.

The name of midfielder Zubimendi has of course long been a prominent one in the headlines across Spain and England alike.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the aforementioned Arsenal had made the call to activate the Spanish international’s release clause.

Despite initial reports of as much having surfaced several months ago, though, official confirmation of the transfer has yet to arrive.

Owing to as much, murmurs have long spread that the transfer is perhaps not as sure a thing as previously suggested.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest update to have surfaced on Friday is anything to go by, then those of an Arsenal persuasion need not fret.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:

‘Arsenal and Real Sociedad have completed all paperwork for Martín Zubimendi deal, it’s all signed. Zubimendi has completed formal steps of his move in London as he will be first summer signing for AFC. Fee around €64/65m paid in installments.’
