La Liga reschedule 6 fixtures – featuring Barcelona & Atlético – after Real Madrid request | OneFootball

No fewer than six La Liga fixtures have today been rescheduled. As much comes with a view to Gameweek 33, later this month.

The board at Real Madrid on Thursday made contact with the officials in charge of schedule-making in Spain’s top-flight.

This comes after Carlo Ancelotti’s troops booked their spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

With the first leg of their final-4 showdown with German heavyweights Bayern Munich set to play out on Tuesday, April 30th, Los Blancos therefore requested for their prior La Liga fixture, against Real Sociedad, to be shifted back, from Saturday the 27th, to Friday the 26th.

An understandable appeal, the La Liga brass, in turn, took little time to confirm their decision to grant Real’s wish.

As a result, though, a whole host of further fixtures have also been shifted to new dates and times.

As per Mundo Deportivo, the changes in question, which will affect the likes of Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, are showcased below:

Real Sociedad-Real Madrid: from Saturday the 27th at 9:00 p.m. to Friday the 26th at 9:00 p.m.

Las Palmas-Girona: from Monday the 29th at 9:00 p.m. to Saturday the 27th at 2:00 p.m.

Almería-Getafe: from Friday the 26th at 9:00 p.m. to Saturday the 27th at 4:15 p.m.

Alavés-Celta: from Saturday the 27th at 4:15 p.m. to Saturday the 27th at 6:30 p.m.

Atlético Madrid-Athletic Club: from Saturday the 27th at 6:30 p.m. to Saturday the 27th at 9:00 p.m.

Barcelona-Valencia: from Saturday the 27th at 2:00 p.m. to Monday the 29th at 9:00 p.m.
