Randal Kolo Muani scored twice in Juventus’ 5-0 thumping of Al Ain in their Club World Cup opener last night, with the French forward repaying the Bianconeri’s faith in him amid his desire to stay at the club.
Kolo Muani has spent the last six months on loan with Juventus from Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain – scoring eight goals in 16 Serie A matches to help the Old Lady scrape fourth place by just one point over Roma.

However, currently the 25-year-old’s time in Italy is set to come to an end when his loan contract expires after the Club World Cup. PSG allowed Juventus to extend the deal for the duration of competition, currently being hosted in the USA, but as it stands the Frenchman will return to his parent club after Juventus’ participation ends.
Speaking to Mediaset, via CalcioMercato, the former Frankfurt forward claimed “it is never easy to win 5-0” and that “we are happy but we now have to play just as well in the second match.”
When asked about his man of the match performance, Kolo Muani humbly responded that “[He is] happy with this award but what matters more is the team. We’re happy to have started like this.”

Kolo Muani was also asked about his future and how he feels at Juventus, replying “Honestly, I feel very good here. I can play well and score goals. I am happy, I hope to stay.”
Juventus will now try to negotiate a deal with PSG to keep him at the club permanently but will have to analyse other options in case an agreement cannot be reached. Meanwhile, reports in recent weeks have linked Manchester United as a possible suitor of the Frenchman in case the Bianconeri fail in their pursuit.
