Kieran Trippier final decision on 4 clubs as transfer window in Turkey nears end – Sky Sports | OneFootball

Kieran Trippier has made headlines, with reports of interest in signing him by clubs in Turkey.

Their transfer window doesn’t close until Friday (13 September 2024), two weeks after the Premier League one ended.

So, at least hypothetically, Kieran Trippier could have still left Newcastle United.

However, Sky Sports now say that their information is that Kieran Trippier is definitely staying at St James’ Park.

Sky Sports saying Eddie Howe making absolutely clear that he wanted the England defender to stay.

All a bit bizarre just how much coverage has been given to this Kieran Trippier nonsense.

All of the headlines and coverage seemingly sparked from what appeared to be one journalist in Turkey with an ‘exclusive’…

Newcastle United turned down three bids from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window, the final one of those just short of £13m.

These laughable claims of Kieran Trippier supposedly going to Turkey, pretty much all were claiming Newcastle United were prepared to let him go out on loan!

Eddie Howe letting a key big player and leader move out, with no transfer fee, maybe a minimal loan fee, surely ludicrous to take that seriously, as a possible transfer. Especially when Eddie Howe wouldn’t be able to bring anybody in.

If Kieran Trippier was going to leave, it would have been to a far better club and league than these ludicrous claims of Turkish clubs, whilst it would have taken a credible transfer fee for Newcastle United to even consider letting him go.

Kieran Trippier has only started the Forest cup match and has been named on the bench for the three Premier League matches, BUT he was the latest NUFC player to return from an extended break due to the Euros AND this summer he played more than any other Newcastle United international, starting all six England games before Gareth Southgate disastrously brought Luke Shaw back for the final, despite him having not started a game for England in 13 months and not started any football match for five months.

Kieran Trippier was excellent in the role he was asked to play on the left out in Germany, his ability and physicality clearly still very much there.

With Tino Livramento on hand, Eddie Howe has had the luxury of not needing to throw Kieran Trippier in at the deep end after the summer exertions, I bet he wishes he’d had that same luxury with certain other NUFC players who had limited pre-seasons.

Kieran Trippier still has so much to offer Newcastle United, on and off the pitch, Eddie Howe making this abundantly clear.
